4. Roku

Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy covers the Prayer Times & Adhan app for Roku devices (مواقيت الصلاة والأذان; version 1.0 and later), developed by Craft Appz ("we"). The app shows the five daily prayer times, the Hijri date and the weather, and plays the Adhan on your Roku device. In short: no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not sell or share personal information.
1. What stays on your TV
Your chosen city (name, coordinates and time zone), calculation method, Asr school, language, clock format, temperature unit, Adhan voice and per-prayer Adhan on/off choices.
These are saved only on your Roku device, in the app's storage, and are never sent to us. Prayer times are calculated on the device. Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Extra Adhan voices you choose are also saved on the TV after they are downloaded, together with the latest voice list.
2. Internet services the app contacts
| Service | When | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| ipwho.is, ipapi.co, get.geojs.io (IP-based location) | During setup when you choose "detect my city", and at app start if you use the detected location (to keep the city current) | Only your public IP address, as with any web request. |
| Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) | About every 30 minutes for the weather, and when you search for a city | The city's coordinates or the city name you type, plus your IP address as with any web request. |
| Craft Appz servers (our own servers) | When you choose an extra Adhan voice that is not built into the app: it is downloaded once and saved on the TV (downloaded again only if the device clears its cache). Also at app start and about every 12 hours, to check for an updated voice list. | Your IP address and the app name in the request (Roku-PrayerTimesAdhan), as with any web request. No personal data and none of your settings. Server logs are kept for at most 30 days and used only to run and secure the service. |
The location and weather providers process requests under their own privacy policies. Prayer times and the default Adhan voices (Sheikh Nasser Al-Qatami for the regular Adhan, plus a default Fajr Adhan) are built into the app and work without internet. Extra voices need the internet only the first time; if one is not available, the built-in Adhan plays instead.
3. Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
4. Roku
Roku, Inc. may collect information about your use of your Roku device under Roku's own privacy policy (roku.com/privacy). We do not receive that data.
5. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
